For many years throughout regional Australia, Telstra seemed like the only choice for telco. With Optus investing billions of dollars into expanding their coverage, we wanted to let people know that they now had a choice. By turning all Optus customers into ambassadors, we encouraged them to share their ‘yes’ moments with the hashtag #IChooseOptus.
I oversaw the research, conceptualisation and user journey mapping as well as the UI design for the entire path of the competition. #IChooseOptus was a huge success reaching 860,000 unique users, over 1,700% engagements delivered and saw that 14% of entries were from Telstra customers.
